Is there a way to query a linked model's element?  I am trying to identify the object by hovering the mouse + TAB on the linked architectural model, but the status bar would only tell me "RVT Links : Linked Revit Model : filename.rvt : 1 : location <Not Shared>"  It would not list more information by hitting TAB.  I want to be able to identify the objects in the linked model, such as wall type, door type, window type, and etc.

Thanks

When you tab through and select an element make sure that you click on it so it turns red. In the type selector you will see what type of object that it is. The only thing is that you wont be able to edit the element.

When you click on the DWG import, on the right in the menu there is a symbol like Layers in AutoCAD with a blue "i" called "request" (I think, don't using the english version - this layout is in Revit 2011). You click on that and then click on the line or text you want to know on which layer they are. Nevertheless you'll never be able to identify them directly as revit families.
