Hello everyone, first post! I'm having a bit of trouble in Revit, that is starting to really bug me now. I'm a final year architecture student, with my submission coming up in a few days so any time wasted isn't good. I'm having problems with masses in Revit currently; when editing a complex mass, compoased of many objects, and most not on axis, when making alterations Revit crashes randomly. I also have another problem which may or may not stem from this. When in the 3D view, and I select an object, sometimes the screen 'jumps.' When I say jump, it shifts in a random direction (left, right, up or down, but the perspective remains constant as if I pan. Is there a way to fix this? And/or the constant crashes (I've had about 30 in the past hour). Cheers!

Well, This is not normal, to tell the truth I have never heard anything like this, "when editing a complex mass, compoased of many objects," sounds like "Out-Of-Memory", you don't tell the spec. of your machine and O.S. and so one but until now everything was fine and a time for another began problems, the first thing that I was check was the "Virus.

Sorry. The spec of my machine is an Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600, 4gb ram, ATI 4850, and running Vista x64 with about 400gb free of hd space. I've had the same problem on my laptop; Core 2, 2gb ram, ~50gb free of hd space.

Well, your machine is good and I don't think the problem is O.S. at all, because i have Vista 64Bits also and I never had that problem, so.... "Virus"????

No, I've ran AVG on both machines and both def's are up to date.. It only crashes when editing a mass in 3D; it doesn't feel like a virus error, because I can repeat the crash on demand 80% if I choose to do so. It does not crash in other tasks (drafting, moving walls, editing wall profiles in 3D, editing and changing families) and only crashes in the one project.

see if you have any warnings associated with the file and if any of them related to the masses.
