you can beta test upcoming autodesk products.

http://myfeedback.autodesk.com

Just sign up and pick Revit as your desired beta. I think they are pretty selective who they pick for it but its worth 5 minutes to fill out the form.

That's what I had guessed- When are the beta versions availble for download? I saw someone say they are selective, but if I do get lucky and have acces, about when are they released?

The problem is that that not all tools can be customizable in 2010 so that you can use Shortcut Keys.  Unfortunately you can only customize the 'Pick Mirror Axis' and not 'Draw Mirror Axis'.  So using the shortcut 'MI' is specific to what you want to accomplish.

I personally have always used shortcut keys. This makes it easier for anyone using ANY program, really!

Think about it?  If you used your left hand using shortcuts instead of clicking all day long with 1 poor finger, you would cut down on the chance of developing carpal tunnel or worse...  I even switch fingers from time-to-time, life is all about balance!

If you open the command file in notepad, you can customize commands to whatever you want- once I found that out I made a shortcut for every command (that didn't already have one) that I use daily. It makes life easier. This includes the mirror commands, extend commands... you just have to have the patience to weed through the notepad file...
