ahahahaha, yeah, i try to avoid create-in-place that element, but if it must be done and there isn't another solution so well... 3D FOREVER.. Thanks Bronco, and lunch of course...

"Revit will not put in a vertical rail and that is exactly what those two instances, geometricly, have to have to get the two railings to connect."

This is a common problem with the railing tool in Revit. What stair fabricators call "cross-overs"- areas where the railing has to adjust at a change in direction. - You can leave it and just draft over this in your section
- You can create an end baluster that has the appropriate sweep / extrusion- then load it into the railing and adjust it into place. (use the railing/handrail ends from the Revit web Library as a template.)
- Model In-place, or create a section box around the stair- export it to cad-open it in a generic family template and model it as a component family.
I would take a shot at making the baluster and loading it in. You have to experience it and decide how much trouble its worth and how much you want it to to be absolutely correct in 3d.
