Hello, I am currently working on REvit Structure 2009 and I have 2 questions for anyone who can help me. 1) I have a sloped beam line and I would like for the Joist to sit on the beam no to float, do I have to Individually drop each one individually or is ther ea setting I can change so this happpens naturally? 2) on corase I am trying to show a simbolic cutback (i.e. Joist not touching beam) On one end the joist cut back from the ocncrete wall, onthe other ende the joist join the beam and I want it the other way around. Can someone explain me how to fix this please? Cheers and I look forward ot reading the repsonses. Vanrevit

For your first query: Make a reference plane along the direction of your joists. Use "pick a plane" from choices and pick the top of the beam where the joists would line-up. For your second, edit the element property, under Construction, give a negative value to Start or End Extension to move end of joist away from support. Do the reverse to extend towards support.
