Hi all

Take a look at the picture. Is it posssible to rotate the dimension text?

Under settings, annotations, dimensions, you can set your dimension options but Vertical is not one of them.

I think WWWHub just respond to your question, you don't tell what version of Revit are you use but in 2008 it's not possible, i don't know in 2009, i don't have here this version... maybe latter i can responde you....

This could be accomplished very easily with a detail component line based family with nested annotations. Or just make a new dimension style with extremely small text and place you own text how you want it.

See the video. You can make this much more complex using visibility parameters, maybe have it display the actual dimension but have an override parameter in there so you can have it display what you want. You can do a lot with this.

Perhaps you would like this one a little better. This one shows how to have the lable show the actual dimension and be able to switch between the text override and the dimension.

Thanks for your reply brett.

Yeah it was what i was looking for. I just thougt you could make it easier. I thougt i had missed a option somewhere or something. 

I hope that is something they will change.
