I'm creating steel stair fabrication plans for a client using Revit Arch. 2009, and am trying to figure out if there is a way to modify stair properties to use a custom steel stair pan in place of the standard "riser" and "run". I found a steel stair pan within revit, but other than arraying it in a drafting view on top of my automatically generated stair section, I'm not sure how to use it. Also, I need to modify the properties of the stringers to be C-shapes... Any help is welcome!

Yes, an annoying shortfall with the stair tool. I would suggest you use the railing tool to do the stringers and treads or do them as separate families. The stair tool will not allow you to create a stair at this detail conventionally.
