I get the following message when placing the plywood web joist into my level 1 floor plan. I'm trying to find out where to make it visible, but cannot. I can see it in 3d. "None of the created elements are visible in Floor Plan: Level 1 View. You may want to check the active view, its Parameters, and Visibility settings, as well as any Plan Regions and their settings."

This message typically means that the object is either out of the view range or the category is hidden in the view. Check your view range box first and make sure the extents of the view are far enough to display the object. Then check to make sure the objects category is visible in the view (Visibility/Graphics dialog box) HTH

Thanks for the reply. I was poking around in some other threads and saw what you are saying plus more. I found that it is above my cut plane. When I created a first floor framing plan, it worked! Thanks for your help.

To check View Range: go to properties of view and scroll down to the bottom. Click where it says "view range" and adjust the cut plane. You may have to play around with it a little to get what you need. To check the Visibility go to Visibility and Graphics and scroll to the category of the item and make sure it is set to visible.

You can also select an object in one view where it is visible, like the default 3d, (I always keep an unadulterated 3D view w/ section box open on one monitor) then switch and right click in the view where it's invisible, go to "override graphics in view" And then "by object" and check "visible".. As views start getting more customized and refined for placement on a sheet, this becomes pretty common.
