is there any way to make hatch patterns transparant (cfr. transparant background in filled regions).

Please at least look at the tools you have available before you ask for help. Look at the region "element" properties for the field region you want to use when you use this tool. NOTE the background setting under graphics. Edit your region creating a new type with this setting changed to transparent. REVIT is great because it gives you almost all of the tools you need. You just have to look at what's there! The HELP menu is also great.

my question is if there are tools to make hatch patterns transparant for use in surface patterns or cut patterns, just like you can do in regions fills. I want to make a demolition surface pattern, while still see the new construction families behind it.

Hi, u can only change the colour of the surface pattern or make the model element transparent.Hope this will work
