Evening all,

I'm working on a residential project and just getting used to Revit (200Shadey for the first time. I'd like to add some additional detail to my elevations- roof returns, brick soldier courses, facia boards on my roofline, etc. How do I do this? Am I best off exporting my drawings into AutoCAD format and doing the details in AutoCAD? Any help would be appriciated. Thanks!

most of the stuff you show in your image should be done as part of your Revit model. but until you develope your Revit skills to that point, exporting to Autocad would probably be the most viable solution.

As Corred said  this can be done in revit, but whilst learning you can export any view out to AutoCAD and then detail up.... or you can import DWG / DXF details into Revit. When I teach to new students I show them how to create Drafting Views and import their details in, then when creating a callout check the Reference other view option and select the drafting view... just one option :o)
