I have a project with half storey levels.I need to show half of the plan in different plan region. When I make plan region and only after I make adjustments of "cut plane" it shows entire facade wall as "coarse", even parts not in region, while all other stay "fine". Other facade walls, not touched with region are displayed normally.I checked cut plane values thoroughly and only left is that plan region is simply rejecting fine detailed graphics.

I enclose printscreen of plan.

Thanks in advance.

ps. Is the size of file an issue maybe? (18Mb right now, computer is 3.25 Gb RAM).

What Revit version?  What update?

When we were using a 4gig system, we had to set the 3gb switch.

2013 had 3 updates that solved various problems.  Install all 3 then see if you have the same problem.

Are you sure you are really cutting this wall?

Place another wall across this area and see what happens to this wall.  Make sure the wall is tall enough to really be cut.  Revit has a problem with short walls.

Pleas post a section of this wall and show where the view cut plane is set in relation to the wall.

This is NOT a wall by face is it?

Yes, I checked it. Wall properties for that wall are:

Base constraint: +1.900 (+1900mm), offset -100 (mm)Top constraint: Up to level +10.650 (+10650 mm), offset 0

Overall hight of that wall is more than 8 meters.

Cut plane of region is +6250 mm, offsets udjusted about meter above and bellow. Wall is continuous, cosistent vertival structure, no sweeps.

I placed another wall of the same type and parameters across region and it is shown properly. I have problem with all facade walls - now. First regions that I have made, worked alright, but after a while, as file grew (now 28Mb), they "broke" walls inside them. Walls started to show coarse in regions, and out of them. The ones that are entirely in plan region in plan and in view range (depth and all) are ok, or entirely out if it are ok as well. Could it be an issue of size of file?

When I delete plan region, entire wall is shown properly again (picture 2)

This has nothing to do with file size.

Could it be a video card issue ?  Possibly.

Could it be a corrupted element? Maybe

Make a new one just like the old one with the same curve and right in front of it.  (Don't copy)

If all else fails, send the file to Autodesk.

I drew new curved wall and it is healthy (like old was before, before it went crazy)When I make another plan region with same view range - look what happens with old wall up there, it is now partly in region, but it goes entirely without details, and not showing openings as well (not in picture). Newly drawn stays healthy.Ok, I'll try it in another computer later to see if it is video card issue, and let know.

If wall is, as you say, corrupted element, how I can fix it, there are multiple number of them in my project?

Thanks for pantience.

What you are seeing is a feature.

"Walls shorter than 6 feet (or 2m when working in metric units) are not cut, even if they intersect the cut plane.

The 6 feet are measured from the top of the bounding box to the bottom of the primary view range. For example, if you create a wall with a sloped top face, when the top of the wall is 6 feet away from the bottom of the primary view range, the wall is cut at the cut plane. When the top of the wall is less than 6 feet, the entire wall shows as projection even where it intersects the cut plane. This behavior always occurs when the Top Constraint property for the wall is specified as Unconnected."

Directly from revit help.

So you are not seeing 'coarse', you are seeing the top of the wall...
